Very nice courteous host! In these difficult times a pleasant stay, certainly even better when the weather allows the use of the wonderful inner courtyard. Eat good to very good, the Riesling cabbage, the veal chop and, of the typical Palatinate dishes, especially the liver dumplings are delicious.

Very nicely located, top service and very friendly staff ??? the food was awesome ..... the prices are completely okay .... see you next time .....

Super rustic Palatinate local authority! Delicious Palatinate food, fine wines, nice hosts and good prices. The ambience is excellent! Even in the small interior with the beautiful vault you can feel comfortable in these difficult times. The distances are maintained, the tables are disinfected and a special air filter is running. So all in all very recommendable!

Super nice little restaurant right on the wine route. Although all tables were actually reserved, the friendly host was able to organize a table for us. The historic courtyard is beautiful and very idyllic. The food was fresh from the grill and delicious. All local wines tried were top. On the next trip we will definitely stop here again!

Cosiness in a romantic environment, a wine tavern in a quaint sandstone vault, very good wine and delicious food, in addition to owners who radiate a family atmosphere. We felt very well and will often stop there in the future.

The Kartäuserhof in Forst is in the summer (!) Indisputably one of our 3 favorite restaurants in the Palatinate. Above all, we value the ambience of the inner courtyard (parts of the walls probably belonged to a monastery in the 17th and 18th centuries). Since the restaurant is run by a married couple alone, the boss always welcomes you personally on arrival. On a warm summer evening here after an eventful hike over the Eckkopf and back through the Deidesheimer vineyards to finish the evening with a good meal and a glass of wine is the nicest thing we can imagine. The menu is small but perfectly adequate, it is offered classic Palatine dishes and at a really good price / performance ratio. But those who love desserts will not get their money's worth here. Of course, the host also adopted personally. You should definitely reserve.
